Black Seed Oil For Pancreatic Cancer

Thymoquinone is one of the most active ingredients found in high concentration in Black Seed Oil. A study has found that thymoquinone component of Black Seed Oil for pancreatic cancer, including drug resistant types, may be beneficial.

Black Seed and its extracts (such as thymoquinone) are increasingly being found to have anti-cancer properties. One type of cancer which seems particularly responsive to thymoquinone is pancreatic cancer.

Gemcitabine is a drug commonly used in the treatment of pancreatic cancer however drug resistance often emerges after several cycles of treatment.

A  study from School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India has found that the combination of thymoquinone and Gemcitabine have synergistic actions to inhibit cancerous cell proliferation and induce cell death (apoptosis) of pancreatic cancer cells.
